The Salvation Army George W. Jenkins City of Hope in Lakeland, Florida is now complete and EarthLinked is proud to have played a small part in helping this worthwhile facility keep its residents comfortable with an EarthLinked geothermal water heating system installed in one its buildings. We’d like to share the heartwarming letter we received from The Salvation Army:   Read the letter.

The Community of Hope is more than a mere shelter. Families in need of short-term emergency housing can stay in motel-like efficiency units, where they can get back on their feet while working on goals set by a personal case manager.

Homeless children are given love, education and stability at the HALO (Helping and Learning Opportunities) Child Enrichment Center. Families staying in the Family Living Village live in two-year transitional housing, while the parents learn life skills and budgeting in order to achieve a better life for their families.
