Spending only $21 for heating in the month of March is making one Indiana homeowner feel the green.
Titus Hess, owner of Camflo Heating in Indiana, installed an EarthLinked Prime Series 4-ton unit in his home on February 2. I stopped by on March 30 to see how things were going. When we visited his home, I checked to see how the unit was running and the amount of his utility bill. Because the system had a EarthLinked Diagnostics and Monitoring system, I was able to determine that for the month of March, he had used only $21 worth of electricity for heating.
That made me think: how much energy had I used to heat my own home in March? My home and the Hess home were built about the same time and had similar square footage. I own a high-efficiency water-based geothermal unit from one of the leading brands and was surprised to see that for the same time period I had used $41 to heat my home.
So not only was Titus extremely pleased with the low electric usage of his EarthLinked system, he was more than satisfied with the quiet operation of the system and with the comfort level inside his home. So we have yet another happy EarthLinked customer who is saving money even during one the coldest months of winter.
I’m excited to announce that Camflo Heating & Cooling of Flora, Indiana has completed the necessary training to become an EarthLinked Authorized Dealer. Six people attended the training session, including owner Titus Hess, demonstrating the Camflo team’s dedication to learning how to install and service EarthLinked Geothermal Renewable Energy Systems.
Camflo has been in business for over three years, establishing a reputation in Lafayette and surrounding areas for doing efficient and reliable geothermal installs. They install dozens of units annually.
Camflo will be installing a 4-ton EarthLinked Prime Select Series unit with a 4-ton loop system, using a trencher, at the Titus Hess home. Stay tuned for the installation photos to come.

Unico System plant in St. Louis, MO.
The EarthLinked sales team gathered last week for training at the Unico System plant in St. Louis, Missouri. The Unico System, a small-duct system for heating and cooling, is a unique product line that will enable us to address new opportunities.
Since EarthLinked already has the only Energy Star qualified small-duct air handling system on the market, not only is our yard space requirement minimal but now our duct space is too.
Thanks to the Intagliata family and the Unico team for the hospitality and knowledge they shared with us. It was a good day!

Collier’s Heating is located in Ossian, Indiana. They also have a location in Warsaw Indiana. One of the largest geothermal dealers in the state of Indiana for over 20 years, Collier’s covers the Fort Wayne area and surrounding counties.
The 5-ton horizontal loop system was installed in less than eight hours, including the brazing of the header and line set.
Congrats to Justin Dorsey Plumbing of Danville, Indiana, who has signed up as a new EarthLinked Dealer. They have completed the authorized dealer training and already have a system sold.
