EarthLinked Technologies is proud to have hosted yet another training seminar in North Carolina. This time our Field Technical Support Manager, John Webster, visited us in South Wilmington to conduct the class. It’s a pleasure to see the new faces in attendance, all who are enthused to learn about waterless geothermal products.
Although the EarthLinked Geothermal Renewable Energy System is one of the most innovative technologies available in the market today, we’re able to keep the training to a one-day class because of the system’s inherent simplicity. Since most attendees are already familiar with an all-refrigerant system, the EarthLinked training seminar covers topics such as our patented refrigeration process and the variety of earth loop designs that can be applied to any size lot or type of site.

The small footprint of the EarthLinked earth loops allow them to be installed in tight spaces with minimal disturbance to existing landscapes. Let’s just say that “we are easy on the eyes.”

Why the increased popularity? Geothermal heat pumps were first developed in the 1940s as direct exchange systems. In the 1970s a water loop was added in order to supply large industrial applications. The industry grew around this industrial application. However, because of the smaller amount of ground piping needed per ton of capacity, direct exchange systems are better suited for residential applications . Direct exchange systems also are less complex and generally accepted as more efficient than water source heat pumps: they don’t require a water system and they have a better heat transfer capacity with the soil.

Unico System plant in St. Louis, MO.
The EarthLinked sales team gathered last week for training at the Unico System plant in St. Louis, Missouri. The Unico System, a small-duct system for heating and cooling, is a unique product line that will enable us to address new opportunities.
Since EarthLinked already has the only Energy Star qualified small-duct air handling system on the market, not only is our yard space requirement minimal but now our duct space is too.
